Well the row over if Christians should be exempt from rules banning necklaces seems to be still going on.

According to the Express and Echo (the Exeter local newspaper):

HEALTH bosses are facing a  backlash in their attempts to  stop nurses wearing necklaces  and other items of jewellery.

As many as 50 women, including frontline medics and  district nurses, are thought to  be opposing the edict which  bars necklaces, loop earrings  and wedding rings set with  stones.

A number  of workers have  already refused to sign an agreement with the Primary Care  Trust, now known as NHS Devon, on the issue.

If this is really is part of a “backlash”, or a simply other people not liking the new rules remains to be really seen.
