Delirious Night on God TV

Well I never thought I would do it, but I did. As soon as I saw it advertised on I signed up to God TV so I could watch “Delirious Night” online.

The night was split into three sections;
The first was an interview with the band, which was presented by two people with some very weird hair – who rather annoyingly presented the whole night. The interview itself was very very good, the questions covered delirious history as well as plans for the future. Apart from some very Christian questions, it was very good, but it was God TV I suppose… What exactly does success in the kingdom mean?

The second section – I think was a good idea in theory, but really didn’t come alive on screen. A delirious top ten. It was a mix of snippets of concert footage, interviews, and the presenters explaining the song in question. It just didn’t seem to click, making quite a boring watch…

Which all brightened up for the third part. The concert itself. This section opened with a relaxed and honest martin smith being interview, before a few songs from the support act “cutting edge” were shown.

The weird hair lady appeared to make a comment about them, and to introduce the main concert. Shame so muc stuff was cut out of the cutting edge bit but I suppose we need some reason to buy the DVD…

Anyway you don’t need me to tell you the main concert was amazing, but the set list as shown on god tv is:

Solid rock
Rain down
Paint the town red
Jesus Blood / King or Cripple / True Colours
(An Emotional) History Maker

My Soul Sings

The evening finished with a few more interviews with the band and other well known industry types such as Amy Grant, Rebecca St James, and Vicky Beeching. A good and maybe emotional watch, this was hopefully a good taster for the DVD that is due out in a few months.
